9 - 10 June 2026
LUX Selection Panel meeting to discuss and select the five films to be nominated for the 2027 LUX Audience Award

25 November 2026
Announcement of the five nominated films in the European Parliament in Strasbourg

December 2026 - April 2027
Screenings and ratings of the nominated films - the citizens and Members of the European Parliament can watch and rate the nominated films and decide together the winner

April 2027
LUX Audience Award Ceremony – announcement of the winner during the ceremony in the European Parliament in Brussels

Rating process

Both the public and Members of the European Parliament can rate the five nominated films from 25 November 2026 until April 2027 (date to be confirmed) on the new LUX Rating Platform.  Ratings can be changed an unlimited number of times until the end of the rating period. Only the final rating will be taken into consideration.

The film with the highest total score, rated by the public and MEPs (equal rating weight of 50% each), will win the LUX Audience Award. The winning film will be announced at the LUX Audience Award Ceremony in April 2027 in the European Parliament.
