The LUX Audience Award is about to host its Selection Panel Meeting, to take place on June 10 - 11th in the European Parliament in Brussels.
The meeting kicks off the 2026 edition of the Award, as it brings together distinguished film experts from across Europe to discuss and select the next five LUX Audience Award nominated films.
The Panel members include directors, producers, distributors, cinema operators, and LUX Young Talent Programme participants. They are tasked with carefully assessing, deliberating and voting on a list of 15 shortlisted films - out of which five will be nominated for the LUX Audience Award 2026.
The final five LUX Audience Award nominees will be chosen for their lasting impact and strong reflection of European values. Drawing from their diverse backgrounds and dynamic experiences, the Selection Panel members will consider exceptional storytelling, compelling themes and thought-provoking narratives.
We will announce the five LUX Audience Award 2026 nominated films in October, during that month’s plenary session at the European Parliament in Strasbourg. Stay tuned on our website and social media for the big reveal!
