LUX Audience Award 2025: the countdown has begun

The countdown has begun for the 2025 LUX Audience Award announcement event, which will take place on Wednesday 18 September at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

The LUX Audience Award is the biggest Audience Film Award in the European Union, presented by the European Parliament and the European Film Academy, in partnership with Creative Europe MEDIA and Europa Cinemas.

The five nominated films for the LUX Audience Award 2025 will be unveiled at 15:00 during a press conference at the European Parliament (Daphne Caruana Galizia press conference room - WEISS N -1/201), in the presence of Members of the European Parliament and film directors. Follow it live here.

The press conference will be followed by the main announcement event at 17:30 at the European Parliament in Strasbourg (Gallery Emilio Colombo, WEISS S01). This gathering will bring together MEPs, filmmakers, and stakeholders in a shared celebration of European values, cinema, culture, and democracy. The event will feature speeches from prominent figures, including film directors and high-level representatives of the European Parliament and of the European Film Academy.
